NOPILLS nutrition software can reduce three hours of nutrition and diet research to three minutes!

How it works. . .
MOVE the mouse pointer over many elements of the program screen to activate facts, tips and RDI readouts. Figures to the right of the color bars show nutrient values for the selected item or items-totaled. Self-teaching mouse-pointer readouts make the help module almost redundant, although it is highly recommended reading if you are to maximize your potential with the program.
Clicking on labels and readouts activates numerous functions of the program. For example, click any nutrient label for a table of key sources; click the Protein bar for a list of Power Foods; click the RDI button for an RDI report on single or multiple foods; click the blue RDI readout to see best-overall-RDI "power foods"; click the CALS readout to change your caloric target, either on the fly or specifically for yourself or a client; right-click on a nutrient and the entire database re-sorts itself in descending order of nutrient content. (Right-click the grid's first column to re-sort.)
Click on any food item (or scroll through to them, or search a keyword using F3, or merely enter a single character such as "d" to jump through the database.). Any scrolling activates all graphical and textual readouts showing you (in typical portions) the item's content of (three) fats, protein, carb and calories plus 21 vitamins and minerals, in grams or ounces (just click the "ounces" or "grams" word), plus its weight and its overall RDI performance. Any short-length color bar shows graphically a vitamin or mineral shortage in the meal or diet or food item or product or entree you're working on.
Boosted intakes of nutrients such as vitamin-C are simple to fulfill: find the Power Sources just by clicking on "Vita C".
DOUBLE-CLICKING or ENTERing on a food item, or typing numbers onto it, not only adds it to your food list but totals all of the nutrients plus calories, RDIs, three fats, proteins, carbs and gross weight for all items you've selected, even to the point of building a printable grocery list for a banquet (or a source list for a food product if you're a processor)! Graphically, the color bars progress toward or beyond the yellow quota lines (which can represent custom client nutrient targets). In addition, you can delete items, change them, purge a menu or ingredient list, or review it and send lists and reports to the printer or to disk files. The [ ` ] button just beneath ESC toggles between TOTAL mode and SINGLE-ITEM mode; so does a right- or left-click on the FOODGRID's second column, or a click on the yellow weight box. Scrolling or clicking on the main grid automatically switches to single-item mode.
At any point in your exercise you may perfect your balance of nutrients by typing a custom portion for the currently selected food item, to build precise ingredient lists or just because some foods have excessive amounts of certain nutrients.
The default caloric target is 2400 for men, 1800 for women and 2100 for expectant women (which doesn't matter if you purchased the Professional version that allows individual client settings); for seniors the target should be lower than for younger adults, but nutrient bars should aim at the yellow-line targets. Just click "Calorie Sourcing" to change the Fat-Prot-Carb mix formula, or (Professional) Cell 0,0 of the yellow grid to change a client's target for a specific nutrient.
Numerous other features have been incorporated into NOPILLS to make its functions fast and direct; most of the functions are perfect for research.
There are innumerable shortcut functions: Right-click on the RDI/MENU button to toggle between (A) a report on all vitamins contained in single or multiple food items, and (B) a grocery or ingredient or recipe list. Click on GROUPS to separate the database into 22 food groups, then right-click it to select a food group! Strike + or - to browse all selected items, watching the color bars compare their content! Click the Cals total near the red bar to change your calorie target. Click any nutrient label (incl. CALS, fat etc.) to show the Top 200 sources of calories, right-click the labels to rank the entire database to that nutrient, or click the RDI readout itself to show all-things-considered Power Foods. If the Groups sort is checked, these tables show Power foods only for the group you're browsing in. The yellow grid (not shown above because it's "behind" the orange one) provides many other opportunities for monitoring and selecting food items based on nutrient needs.*
Click on ENTREE to edit or start a recipe, entree or product -- a group of items that will make up a shopping or ingredient list for saving, printing and/or editing. When you add an asterisk and a number [ e.g., *12 ] to your recipe name, you get a grocery list for a "banquet" [try *300] giving total weights in a printable list. Click it again to save the menu; right-click it to incorporate the item into the main grid as one.
. . .and much more! You'll discover how quickly NOPILLS software can deliver perfect, powerful whole-food nutrition or simply an entree or ingredient list. Nopills is under constant development to outperform competitors, and is available in two function-specific versions: Personal and Professional.
* Personal Version does not include Nutrition Information tables, Client Files for individual client nutrient targets, RDI comparison tables, and other functions for product development and cost analysis
